Bergmann Expands Buffalo Office by Hiring New Construction Inspection Practice Leader

Bergmann, a national firm of architects, engineers and planners announces the new hire of Todd Gadd, PE, as new Construction Inspection Practice Leader reporting in the Buffalo Office. With more than 25 years of experience working for contractors, consultants and county officials, Gadd will lead Bergmann’s growing inspection business across the Northeast region.

Prior to joining Bergmann, Gadd served as the Highway Superintendent for the Wyoming County Highway Department. Gadd is very active in the industry having served as the immediate past president of NYS County Highway Superintendents Association is a member of the Association of Bridge Construction and Design.

He holds an associate degree in construction engineering technology from the College of Technology at Alfred and a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Clarkson University.

Shumaker Celebrates 65 Years of Service

Shumaker Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying, D.P.C. (SCE) is proud to announce a celebration of 65 years of service in providing engineering, land surveying, environmental, water resources, and construction observation services to Federal and State Agencies, as well as local municipalities and private clients.

SCE is a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise with offices in Binghamton, NY; Albany, NY; and Cleveland, OH (virtual). SCE was established in 1956, as Martin & Shumaker, and later incorporated under the current name and ownership in 1992.

Linda M. House Democrats Introduce $547 Billion Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bill

House Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) Chairman Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) June 4 released the INVEST in America Act, proposing historic levels of investment for highway, public transportation and rail programs. The legislation also calls for numerous policy changes to existing formula programs, creates new discretionary grant programs and would bring back “member designated projects”—formerly known as earmarks. Read More >>
