Deadline April 12 to Register for Cornell Local Roads Workshops in Dutchess County

This spring Cornell Local Roads is hosting in-person workshops, but they need a minimum of 10 people to register by April 12 to help make the three workshops a reality.

If you are interested in attending, sign up by downloading the registration form here or email All workshops will take place at VFW Post 7765, 30 Elizabeth St, Red Hook, NY 12571 from 9 a.m.-12 noon with sign-in beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Biden Unveils $2T Infrastructure Plan

President Joe Biden unveiled a broad-based $2 trillion infrastructure plan Wednesday that ranges from building roads to elderly care, to be paid for with an increase in the corporate tax rate.

“The American Jobs Plan will invest in America in a way we have not invested since we built the interstate highways and won the Space Race,” says a White House statement. Read More >>

Upcoming Webinar on Statewide Action Plans for Bicyclist and Pedestrian Safety

Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety Action Plans are valuable tools that can help transportation agencies establish a framework and approach for reducing deaths and injuries among vulnerable road users. The Federal Highway Administration developed How to Develop a Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Action Plan to help guide agencies through the steps required to develop their own action plans for improving safety. During this webinar, authors of this guide will review the elements of successful Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety Action Plans and describe how Departments of Transportation (DOTs) at the state level can develop their own plans. Panelists from Virginia and Oregon will describe their approaches to crafting and implementing their plans and offer lessons for the audience. Register >>
