June Business Meeting & CEC Training Program

The New York State County Highway Superintendents annual gathering is held each June and will be virtual this year. This annual program starts off with a Superintendents' Business Meeting, followed by an education session and virtual networking. The Continuing Education Consortium (CEC) typically hosts a one (1) PDH program.
Registration is required to attend and free to NYSCHSA Members as a Member benefit.

Keeping things Rollin' on the River (Road)

The River Road/Rosendale Road intersection was a longstanding bottleneck that was known for single-handedly backing up traffic for a mile each weekday. The presentation will review the evolution of the Schenectady County DPW’s efforts to address this congestion and improve safety for the traveling public. Key topics covered include the public involvement process, design principles applied to a rural/suburban roundabout, before/after traffic operations, the impact of COVID-19 on the project and coordination with the contracting community to reduce costs.
